  • Day 1 - Arrival Vientiane

Welcome to Vientiane – the capital city of Laos. Vientiane is situated on the left bank of the Mekong River, the natural border with Thailand, and have the population of 750,000. Often known as the largest village in Asia, Vientiane is not a major tourism site. It is attractive mostly because of Buddhist monasteries and a few monuments from the French colonial era. The Patuxai is the most famous, generally called Vientiane’s “Arc de Triomphe”. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel to check in. Room is available from 1.30pm. The balance of day is free at your leisure. Discover the capital’s cuisine for your own first meals here. Night at the hotel.

  • Day 2 - Buddha Park Visiting (B)

In the morning, we drive (by private vehicle) 25 km southeasterly towards Buddha Park, also known as Xieng Khuang. Erected in 1958, lying in a grass field by the Mekong River, this park holds many kinds of Hindu and Buddhist Sculptures. On the way there, you will also see the National Cultural Park and the impressive Friendship Bridge across Mekong, linking Laos and Thailand.

Transfer back to your hotel with the rest of day to discover the city in your personal way. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 3 - Vientiane sightseeing - Departure (B)

Spend the whole day for the capital city of Laos. Particularly, you will visit :

Vat Sisaket – the largest and most beautiful temple in Vientiane which, inspired from the Siamese, presents its own unique architecture.  Its old ‘Bangkok’ style has actually saved it from destruction.

Vat Phra Keo - erected in 1565 to commemorate the Emerald Buddha it holds. It was rebuilt exactly the same in 1942. The Buddha it shelters now stands under sloping, excellent carved wood panels.

Pha That Louang - a cloister guarding a big stupa, luckily saved when the Siamese raided this city. The Ho plunderers demaged it in 1873, but in 1930 it was restored by the French. It is officially the iconic image of the nation, representing both Lao’s sovereignty and Buddhism. This relic is really a masterpiece of Laotian architecture.

Patuxay - a monument built to remind the intense war against France. From its top we can see a panorama of Vientiane top.

Talat Kua Din Market – an interesting local market.

Finish the day when we transfer to Vientiane airport for your onward flight. Meals on your own. The room is available before noon only. Our services end here.
