  • Day 1 - Vientiane Arrival

Your local guide will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel. From 1.30pm onward room is available. Take your time to rest for a while then begin your story of the capital city. Particularly, you will visit :

Vat Phra Keo - erected in 1565 to commemorate the Emerald Buddha it holds. It was rebuilt exactly the same in 1942. The Buddha it shelters now stands under sloping, excellent carved wood panels.

Pha That Louang - a cloister guarding a big stupa, luckily saved when the Siamese raided this city. The Ho plunderers demaged it in 1873, but in 1930 it was restored by the French. It is officially the iconic image of the nation, representing both Lao’s sovereignty and Buddhism. This relic is really a masterpiece of Laotian architecture.

Patuxay - a monument built to remind the intense war against France. From its top we can see a panorama of Vientiane.

You’re free for the evening time. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 2 - Orchid Trek (B,L)

The whole day will be spent for the Phou Khao Kway National Park with its superb waterfalls and wonderful scenery. This National Park is known to house over 50% of Laos wild orchid species. Through this trek you will have an exclusive chance learn more about these plants directly in their natural habitat. Our local and professional guides will always be happy to offer you more informations about the animals, plants and their identification. Have lunch with packed set. Transfer back to your hotel in the late afternoon. Have your own dinner here. Night at the hotel.

  • Day 3 - Vientiane - Pakse - Boloven Plateau (B,L)

Rise up early for your morning flight to Pakse. Then we drive about 1 hour towards Bolovens plateau passing by Paksong. Inhabited by a number of Mon-Khmer ethnic groups, this plateau was mostly planted with rubber, bananas and coffee by the French. Stop en route at Tad Fan for a stroll through the plantations of tea and coffee to Tad Yuang waterfall. After lunch at a local restaurant, pay visits to several villages of ethnic minorities. Stops include the Pong Neua village of Alak minority people, in order to observe their impressive spirit house, and Kok Bhoung village of Katou minority people. Upon arrival at your hotel, take your time to relax by the riverside or have a swimming in the waterfall (up to the season). Dinner on your own and night at the hotel.

  • Day 4 - Boloven Plateau - Champassak - Ban Khiet Ngong (B)

In the morning, return to Pakse, keep driving to your hotel/lodge in Ban Khiet Ngong for your overnight. Along the way, stop for lunch (your expense) and an exploration at Vat Phou Temple. This region used to be part of the Tchen-La kingdom in the Khmer nation. So it‘s easy to understand why Vat Phou Temple is an interesting architectural collection of pre-Angkorian times. The Shiva temple of Vat Phou leans against a holy mountain and is a pre-configuration of the mountain temples which you'll find now in Thailand and Cambodia. Check in the hotel/lodge for your overnight place and you're free for the remainder time to do whatever you want. Enjoy dinner by yourself.

  • Day 5 - Ban Khiet Ngong - Phou Asa (B,L)

In the morning, depart for a lively day. Activities include both trekking and riding elephant around the Phou Asa mountain. Follow the trail and you will access inside the tropical forest covering the surrounding area of this well-known archaeological site. Picnic lunch will be served en-route. In the middle afternoon you will return to your lodge. Free time after that. Dinner on your own and night at the lodge.

  • Day 6 - 4,000 Islands (B,L)

Travel by road to Si Phane Done (the region of 4,000 islands). We will cross Done Det Island and move to Done Kone after that via a bridge. Visit Fishing Village of Ban Khone and make some stops at the ruins of old French railways and locomotive. After lunch en-route, move to Liphi Falls on foot ( or by a tuk-tuk upon your wish) and then another walk southward towards the Cambodian border for Pa Peng Falls. Local fishermen often do fishing here in the magnificent rapids. Transfer back to Ban Khiet Ngong by private vehicle. Dinner on your own and overnight at the lodge.
