Phu Quoc Island is the largest island in Vietnam, a island of islands complex in Thailand Gulf. Phu Quoc and other islands form Phu Quoc District in Kien Giang province. It is deltoid with the bottom edge in the north and descending to the south. The climate on the island of Phu Quoc is tropical monsoon, and it is also less prone to disaster thanks to its special position. Phu Quoc also has an invaluable resource as tropical forests along with beautiful beaches and landscapes, coral reefs,... very suitable for tourism development. Clear waters, white creamy sand are also extremely glamorous. Travelers will certainly have many moments of frolic and relax among the rare pristine, peaceful landscapes and fresh air. In many activities, coral diving is one of the most interesting games in here. Phu Quoc sea is beautiful not only by the green on the water but even under the ocean with coral reefs considered to be the most beautiful in Vietnam with 17 types of hard and soft corals and many different kind of anemones.  This beautiful island is often compared as a full of life young girl with gorgeous and mysterious beauty of primary forests.

Phu Quoc Prison

Phu Quoc Prison, known as the name “Coconut Tree Prison”, is one of particular historical relics in Phu Quoc Island. During the Vietnam War, this is the main prison in Republic of Vietnam, detained over forty thousand people and many of them are political prisoners. It symbolize for heroic, indomitable revolutionaries in the revolution to take back freedom for homeland from US imperialism and independence, prosperity and happiness for the people. Phu Quoc Prison was first built by French army from the rubble of Chinese Kuomintang in Phu Quoc. Then in 1966, Republic of Vietnam government decided to upgrade and build more construction for the purpose of serving the war and it became the largest prison in Vietnam at that time. Furthermore, this place was also the most barbarous prison. A lot of corporal punishments were applied by jailers as: nailed to hand, confined prisoners in thorn cages, cracked tooth, burned prisoners mouth and genitals,… Though, prisoners here still stayed strong and endured. In 1969, after numerous attempts, hundreds prisoners in zones B2 successfully escaped from prison and continued fighting against the invaders. Nowadays Phu Quoc Prison is an indispensable destination in Phu Quoc, gives to tourists many emotions on the vivid history of indomitable Vietnamese.

Phu Quoc National Park

Phu Quoc National Park is one of the largest national parks in Vietnam. Located in the northeastern of Phu Quoc Island, with the area of over 31000 hectares, this park has an extreme diverse ecosystem, is divided into three functional zones: closely guarded zone, ecological recovery zone and administration - services - scientific research zone. The flora in here is very diverse with plants and trees such as cajuput, beans,..., the precious orchids like Ai Lan, Van Hai,... with precious herbs like licorice, Eucommia, ... and many other plants. The fauna of Phu Quoc National Park also has variety of kinds with several hundred species of birds, mammals, reptiles, including a number of species listed in the Red Data Book of Vietnam and World Red List. With its abundant flora and fauna and amazing natural landscape, the visitors always find the opportunity to discover the perfect beauty of Phu Quoc National Park through the destinations with the most typical characteristics. The poetic vast green forests hide in brilliant colors of the orchids or purple of the myrtles, along the pouring waterfall, make  Phu Quoc National Park become as a paradise on earth, make travelers immersed in this pristine beauty.

Sao Beach

Sao Beach is located about 25km from the center of Duong Dong town, Phu Quoc, Kien Giang province. This is one of the most beautiful beaches of Phu Quoc Island with white sand flat limited by rocky headlands jutting into the sea. Because of not being fully exploited in order to become a tourist area, this beach still remains untouched beauty like a young beautiful girl. The name "Bai Sao" also has a very interesting origin. Local people tell that it was named "Bai Sao" because this beach every night yore when twilight falls, darkness covered the white sand, there were the tens of thousands of starfish moving to ashore and water for bathing the moon. So people here have a name for this region is Stars. Sand in Sao Beach is not yellow like beaches in Nha Trang or dark yellow or brown as Vung Tau beach. The sand here is pure and creamy white. Bai Sao fit in the loving arms of two gentle mountain ranges, brings quiet atmosphere and fresh air to visitors. Walking leisurely on the beach and watching the dawn or catching the weak late sunshine tie will be deposited and tranquility moments that travelers certainly want to keep.

Tranh Stream

Tranh Stream is an ideal tourist attraction in Phu Quoc, located about 9 km from center of Duong Dong town to the south. Stream is composed the small mountainous canyons Ham Ninh, crept under the forest canopy, moss rock, with a total length of 15 km. Stream Tranh is surrounded by verdant trees, with all sorts of fragrant grass. Along the stream luxuriant trees, other blue gray trunks are covered by soft moss, more garish trunks because the yellow orchid flowers, red flowers cling. Waters of this stream is cool and clear, sometimes gently flows but sometimes is violent, creates a white cascade. From downstream of this spring, visitors take the bumpy unpaved road to upstream about 300 m to explore the mysterious nature, camping, bathing in springs - waterfalls and relaxing between forest incense. The brushwood roadside to stream adds mystery to this destination. The rocks along streams are mossy so they are very slippery, is a challenge for those who want to pass. Tranh Stream also has many mystical and mysterious caves. Bat Cave is located in the mountains about 200 m high, 50 m deep, has many beautiful and strange stalactites.

Long Beach

Long Beach is one of the natural wonders contributing to the names of Phu Quoc Island, is one of the 13 pristine and beautiful beaches in the world. Long Beach is located on the North Island tourist route, with a length of 15 km, run along the northwest coast of the island from Ganh Dau to Cua Can. White beaches are extremely immense and untouched, the ancient orchid jungle spreads to the seaside, mangrove ecosystem in the small estuary are also gorgeous. About 800m from shore is a small island, Doi Moi Island. With pristine sandy beach 50m long, it is ideal for visitors to coral diving, go fishing and relax. In Long Beach, tourists not only be immersed in the blue sea but also enjoy the fresh atmosphere. There is also few boats anchored here. Visitors will have the opportunity to breathe fresh air, seduced by the incense of ocean and forests. Long Beach is apparently paradise on earth that you can never forget once you are here.
