The northern Laos, with beautiful landscapes of forests, mountains, waterfalls,... and the splendid Luang Prabang is one of the most favored region of Laos to come. You will also join in interesting activities such as elephant riding, swimming in the waterfalls, kayaking on Nam Khan river or flying with zipline,....   • Day 1 - Luang Prabang arrival

    On arrival, you will meet your guide at the airport and then relocate to your hotel to check in. Your hotel room is available from 1.30pm on. Afternoon is free at your leisure to relax or explore this UNESCO Heritage Town on your own pace. Go out and look for delicious meals for dinner. Overnight at the hotel

     

  • Day 2 - Luang Prabang sightseeing by bike (B,L)

    Time seems not to be running in Luang Prabang. As part of the UNESCO reconstruction plan, they have built new buildings in a limited number and the marvelous of Luang Prabang is kept as its old look with reconstructed old houses and streets. Take a cycling tour on an easy-level terrain to visit it.

    The center of the town is 300 meters above see level, situated on a peninsula . There you will see ancient buildings of the Royal Palace, with temples and monasteries. Sites we’ll visit in ordinal :

    Vat May – dating back to the end of the 18th century, a capped sanctuary featuring a five sided roof topped by three parasols.

    Vat Xieng Thong (500m far from Mai temple) – contains numerous holy buildings and is the most wonderfull temple in the city

    Vat Visoun (700m far from Wat Xieng Thong) – the city’s most ancient temple with wooden windows designed under influences of the Vat Phou’s Khmer temple.

    To continue our trip outside the city surrounded by misty mountains and the smaller Nam Khan river, you can cross the this river and take a 4-km ride along the Mekong river towards paper village of Ban Xieng Lek and Ban Xang Khong. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Dinner is free at your own choice. Overnight at the hotel.

     

  • Day 3 - Luang Prabang - Elephant riding - Zipline tour (B,L)

    In the morning, we drive about 30 minutes to Ban Ansavanh. Then, take a brief cruise of 10 minutes down along Namkhan river on a local boat to scenic waterfall. Here you are in our elephant camp! After a short briefing by our Mahout, you will spend 1 hour to ride your elephant around TAD SAE waterfall or Namkhan River, 20 mins to give your elephant a bath, and last 5 mins to directly feed them as a thank.  After that, you will have a chance to flight on the air by a 1000-meter zip line to experience the challenge of the unspoiled jungle of Luang prabang. Have a pleasant lunch break at TAD SAE restaurant and then immerse in this natural blue pools and go for a trek around waterfall. The very fresh air here will make you so refresh. In the middle afternoon, return to your hotel by land. Enjoy your own dinner. Spend the night at the hotel.

    Remark: This is tour is shared. And from Feb to Aug the Tadsea Waterfalls usually dry.

     

  • Day 4 - Kayaking Nam Khan River (B,L)

    Spend your day for an unforgettable experience of a soft river kayaking. Depart at 8:30 am by a non-private trip on a shuttle bus and then cruise up river into the river valley of Nam Khan. Equipment and instructions will be provided here. Slowly paddle down the river and a totally authentic sight of daily life and amazing countryside will appear, with green mountains surrounded a peaceful sight of working fishermen and young children playing. The superb Tad Sae Waterfalls will be along the way, which offers you a chance of having a swim in this great natural pools. Ask your guide to walk upstream a little bit if you wish to explore more. (Tad Sae dry from Feb to Aug). After lunch, cruise downstream through some easy rapids Disembark in Luang Prabang and return to your hotel. Dinner on your own. Night at the hotel.

     

  • Day 5 - Ban Long Lao - Kuang Sy Waterfall (B,L)

    In the morning, have a brief drive of 30 km, westward passing through the valley and local villages towards Long Lao Kao village of H'mong ethnic. Take a 3-hour walk to the famous Kuang Si waterfalls, passing through rice fields, vegetables gardens and under the shade of the forest, with hard wood trees such as Ebony and Rosewood. Reach the fall's bottom after a short steep climb, to enjoy one of the most refreshing feelings of immersing in the cool turquoise waters. Kuang Si waterfall lies just 1 km far from here. Take your last moments of this full-of-nature tour to take a rest or take this time to swim before returning to Luang Prabang. Stop on the way back for a visit to some local villages, to observe how they make traditional Saa paper and traditional weaving textiles. In the late afternoon you will return to the hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel booked on your own.

     

  • Day 6 - Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Caves - Nong Khiaw - Muong Ngoi (B)

    In the morning, we drive to visit the holy Pak Ou caves which protects hundreds of Buddha statuettes. From the caves you will have an impressive view of the Mekong at the confluence with Nam Ou River. Continue our trip towards Nong Khiaw. Once getting there, cruise along the Nam Ou River to Muang Ngoi on a traditional boat. Let yourself admire the fantastic view of limestone outcrops partly covered in heavy vegetation. Check into your guest house in Muong Ngoi for overnight. Meals of day are on your own. 

     

  • Day 7 - Muong Ngoi sightseeing (B,L)

    Meet at 8.30AM and hop a boat for a 20-minute cruise upstream to the hiking point. From there, have a soft 3-hour trekking through the river view and the rain forest. Then cruise for a while to the weaving village. Take a walk to see the Bamboo houses with thatch roof, the lives condition here, and then have a second trekking to the village of Khmu. Hop on a boat again for a cruise downstream to see the beautiful scenery of the both Nam Ou river to Hatphaxou. Here you will enjoy a remarkable lunch amongst the karst limestone moutain. A good place for relaxation or swimming here can be arranged. Afterwards, take boat or kayaking (if it's necessary) and then transfer back to Muang Ngoi. Dinner on your own. Night at the guesthouse.

     

  • Day 8 - Muang Ngoi - Nong Khiaw - Luang Prabang departure (B)

    Leave the neat Muang Ngoi village behind and cruise one more hour down the Nam Ou River to Nong Khiaw. From here, transfer by road to Luang Prabang. On the way stop to visit Lu villages at Bane NaYang then Bane Hat Kho. Transfer directly to Luang Prabang Airport for your onward flight. Meals on your own. Our services end here.
