TREE TOP EXPLORER IN SOUTHERN LAOS - 3 DAYS/ 2 NIGHTS - From: 587$

From Pakse, we drive 1 hour to Ban Nongluang. Take a brief walk through the village and take this chance to chat with the locals. You will be given important first safety instructions by the village guides, who will follow us for the next three days. Then, take a hike through vegetable gardens and coffee plantations until wild semi-evergreen forest is gradually left behind. For a while the trail winds down, sometimes quite precipitous, offering beautiful sights of waterfalls, flower-studded plateaus and ravines. Along the way, you will be explained about familiar plants, which are traditionally used as herbal medicine or in the village kitchen.

After a wonderful canopy walkway high in the trees, our first challenge will be to cross a steep river valley. Passing majestic 'Tiger' waterfall, we will arrive at the giant 'Kamet' fall (name of a monkey), where holds a breathtaking sight of the falling water 100 m down into a relatively narrow, densely forested valley basin with waterfalls apparently everywhere. Here you will experience a real thrill when hanging on the zip-lines through the forest. Man up and be brave for this lifetime chance !

Enjoy lunch amongst the wild. Then we keep exploring the mystery forest and cool off yourself before experience the incredible zip-lines. A net of the cables widen over the valley in front of the impressive water wall, extraordinarily high and the spray of the water will be the great bonus to push your adrenaline rush to its maximum. Enjoy the weightless feeling and truly one with nature. Such fantastic a move !

Finish your great day full of exciting activities, we will settle into wonderful camp for overnight, with restaurant nearby. Local food and scrumptious barbecues are ready to be served. Discussing about the amazing experiences you've just had today, or fall into sleep in our private tree house almost 10 m above ground, while still dreaming about this wonderful life, right under the sky full of shining star. These houses we're in designed in traditional style, made of wood, grass and bamboo, can only be accessed by a zip-line. Hot and cold water is always ready in the bathroom near the restaurant. Have a deep sleep and sweet dreams amongst the sound of the forest crickets.

The typical noises of the plenty of birds in the dense canopy around us will wake you up. Take a soft trek of 30 minutes with a simple European-style breakfast served on the way through great forest, towards the first cable. Our challenge today is even harder, with extended flights through the dense forest with the longest about 400 m. You cannot forget the moments and feeling when floating in the air.

Another lunch amongst the wild. Afterwards, return to the camp in the later afternoon. On the way you can have time for some rest and chances to swim as we pass by the 'Red Rock' stream.  Another night on the tree house.

More challenges today are also our 'goodbye' to you! After breakfast, we slowly trek uphill, passing a section of the untouched forest where gigantic trees dominate.

Then You will be surprise as the trail suddenly "ends" at a steep rock wall. The only way to pass is on a 'via ferrata', where iron U-bolts are glued into the rock. You must overcome this obstacle to keep moving on as it has no way around. Don't worry so much, because it's all safe and safety gear will secure you, too. And it looks thrilling, but actually just a short way up

Once reaching the top of the mountain, you will see you didn't waste your try because from one of the highest peaks in the area you observe your incredible reward of an open plateau breathtaking views of three waterfalls and vistas over the Mekong deep into neighboring Thailand. Lunch will be taken here before an easy 30 mins hiking back to Ban Nongluang. Transfer back to Pakse by private car.
