  • Day 1 – Hanoi Arrival

    Welcome to Hanoi! Our guide will be waiting for you there and transfer you to your hotel for checking in. From 13.30 the room is under your service. Then an advised thing to do is taking a street tour, if we had enough time. Let’s immerse in the breath of the city with the tour around Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son Temple built onto, and the city’s Old Quarter with 36 traditional streets. You are free for the rest of the day. And for your dinner (on your own), we recommend some of the best Vietnamese food such as Pho or Cha Ca La Vong. Enjoy it and remember to get back to your hotel for overnight.

     

  • Day 2 - Hanoi (B)

    Spend you morning time for a very fun and interesting game of treasure hunt. As you have to look for different objects at different places such as markets, temples and typical old houses, we hope this game will to help you explore the Old Quarter of Hanoi in a more interesting way. In the afternoon we move a short way to the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature - Vietnam’s first university. Afterwards, take a visit to the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday). Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups and this is the good chance for you to explore their diverse and unique cultures. Choose for yourself a delicious local dish in this colorful cuisine, and back to your hotel for overnight.

     

  • Day 3 - Hanoi - Ninh Giang - Hai Phong (B, L)

    Depart from Hanoi Railway Station to Cam Giang by train. Upon your arrival, transfer to a little rural village of Ninh Giang.  Here you will attend a water-puppetry performed by the locals and  don’t forget to talk to them, to feel sincerely warmth of the villagers . Have lunch with  all dishes cooked by a local family. Afternoon, heading towards Hai Phong and upon arrival visit some of the highlights here. Choose for yourself a delicious local dish, and back to your hotel for overnight.

     

  • Day 4 - Haiphong - Halong Bay (B,L,D)

    Departure for Halong Bay (180km – 3.5 - 4 hour driving) to see a  fabulous World Heritage site recognized by UNESCO. More than 3,000 islands of towering limestone with different fantastic shapes, dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin. When you arrive at Ha Long city, give yourself a break with a refreshing drink before boarding a beautiful cruise ship. Have lunch in the first deck while cruising among spectacular of islets and limestone peaks. When disembark at Titop Island, you will have a fantastic panorama of Ha Long Bay as you walk up to the summit. Other options are take part in activities like swimming or kayaking. In the evening, while still cruising among a stunning setting, you will enjoy our chef's demonstration of cooking and even have opportunities to hand in cooking traditional Vietnamese foods. Have a elegant gala dinner right on board. Your can spend the rest time of your night to relax at leisure or enjoy other activities like watching movies, board games or have a massage & spa services (require additional expense). Squid fishing and chatting with your partner, friends, family. Overnight on board.

     

  • Day 5 - Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue (B)

    Wake up early to catch the breaking dawn. And in that best moment, you will learn the art of Tai Chi on the sundeck. Have breaks with coffee/tea with cookies and pastries. Then we keep cruising towards Surprise Cave (Hang Sung Sot in Vietnamese), where you will feel exactly the same feeling as its name. There are numerous of grottoes in the entire Halong Bay but this cave is one of the largest and most famous ones. Check out your cabin at 9.30am. Before back to the pier, enjoy an International brunch.
    Then transfer to Hanoi Airport. Along the way, you will visit a pottery village of Phu Lang, to feel the charm and the enigmatic soul of an old standstill craft village. Through this unusual experience, you see a different side of Vietnam, still awesome, but out of modern times. Take a walk along Cau river in the paved streets and you can try to hand in pottery. Another option is visiting the handicraft workshops of avant-garde artists and you can also meet those families, who still keep their proficient skills from generation to generation.
    Our local guide will pick you up at Hue Airport, and transfer you to your hotel. Have your own meals here and overnight at the hotel.

     

  • Day 6 - Hue (B)

    Our starting point this morning is Tu Hieu pagoda. From there, transfer by your boat to the Tien Non pier. Here you will take your bike and enjoy a pleasant and easy ride to the village of Sinh, stop en route at the Thanh Tien village. The distance to ride is just a few kilometres on flat ground and you will pass through a typical landscape, but also at times surprising (French cows, churches…). Ride your bike and look around those pagodas and churches, those ancient villages as well as rivers covered with lotus flowers…. to enjoy a real and peaceful beauty of Hue countryside. After lunch, come close to the Perfume River to visit the Imperial Citadel, located right on its banks, and then to the Tu Duc Tomb. Have your own meals, and spend the night at the hotel.

     

  • Day 7 - Hue - Hoi An (B)

    This morning you will visit the Thien Mu Pagoda located on the Perfume River’s bank. Afterwards, transfer to Minh mang Tomb by cruising up the quiet river on a traditional sampan. The we will move to Hoi An acrossing the Hai Van Pass, which is also a great scenic. From the pass, you will have the perfect view out over the central coastline – an excellent panoramas in Vietnam. At your next stop, immerse in the breathtaking sight of the long white sandy Lang Co beach. On arrival in Hoi An, check in at the hotel. The rest of time is free for you to look for a perfect meal for your family. Night at the hotel.

     

  • Day 8 - Hoi An (B)

    This morning, there are two-century-old Chinese houses that you can explore while taking a stroll through the quaint cobblestone streets of the town. The Chinese Temple, Japanese Bridge and Tan Ky trading house are also the places that should not be ignored. After lunch, discover the traditional handicraft of making lanterns upon visiting a workshop. Spend the rest of your day to enjoy the beach or have another exploration in Hoi An town.  All meals on your own. Night at the hotel.

     

  • Day 9 - Surrounding of Hoi An Town (B,L)

    You will spend this morning to try becoming a real farmer. Upon arrival at buffalo cart station, take a 20-minutes buffalo cart ride through the peaceful countryside to the farm. There you will try doing farm works on supported by a local farmer: ploughing/raking soil, transplanting rice, scooping water with different scoopers. Take nice photos of the moment of riding a buffalo.

    This is also a great opportunity to learn the various stages of rice processing: husking the paddy grains (the rice still covered in its shell), pounding and bleaching. The teacher will be watchfully and encouragingly help you try working with those tools and artisanal machines. An excellent lunch will be served with local specialities: Tam Huu (small skewers of pork and prawns, having a lovely look and taste), spring rolls, rice pancakes, soups and caramel pork.

    Upon arrival in Hoi An in the early afternoon, your are free at your leisure. Buy yourself some souvenirs or spend more time to explore the town on your own pace. Find your own meals in this colorful unique cuisine. Have a good night at your hotel!

     

  • Day 10 - Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh City (B)

    Transfer to the Danang Airport for a brief flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arrival in the city, you will visit the Old Saigon Post Office, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the War Remnants Museum and Dong Khoi Street – some of famous historic landmarks in Ho Chi Minh city. Afterwards, pay visits to Cho Lon, the ethnic Chinese district, especially Thien Hau Pagoda and Binh Tay Market. In the afternoon, discover the art of sand painting and then try making your own masterpiece! All meals on your own. Night at the hotel.

     

  • Day 11 - Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City (B,L)

    This morning, leave Ho Chi Minh City to explore Ben Tre by cruising in the Mekong Delta (130km - 2.5 - 3 hour driving).
    Upon arrival at the Phong Nam brick kiln, where bricks are still painstakingly made by hand, you will be picked up to hop a boat and cruise along a branch of the Mekong of Chet Say river.

    Along the trip you will explore how the local economy works, as we visit various local workplaces. The brick kilns for the first. Then you will see the marvelousness of coconut as it is so useful for local people’s daily life. Visit a charcoal factory to see workers put coconut shell into high heat kilns to produce coconut charcoal. Our next destination is a coconut processing workshop. Sample fresh coconut while discovering how they turn every single part of this versatile nut into food and other products
    Afterwards, cruise through the small canals to have a clearer picture of the local life. Take a short walk at a quiet village to fall into the real Delta village life. Stop at a mat weaving house where you will see people use a hand loom to weave straw mats and you can even give a try to weave for yourself.  Board your xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) or go cycling into the village. Let yourself immerse in the peace of those farms, rice fields and vegetables before having lunch at a local house. You will be filled and pleased by such delicious local specialties as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp. Have it with some cold drinks or beers.
    After lunch, board a sampan and enjoy your time while cruising along narrow canals. Back to the pier on a boat to disembark and return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon. Have a good meals there on your own, and overnight at the hotel..

     

  • Day 12 - Ho Chi Minh City departure (B)

    Have a nice free morning time there, until we transfer you to the airport for your onward flight. You have your room available before noon only. Enjoy your last meals there on your own, and our services end here.
